We are certified as swimming pool and spa operators by the National Swimming Pool Foundation. We did our PhD work in Physical Chemistry at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and our BS Degree in the Biological Sciences at the University of Chicago. We were water chemists for the US Panama Canal Zone. We have been active in the swimming pool industry since 1991, and have developed adjustable speed and programmable swimming pool pumps that pay for themselves in electrical savings. Our swimming pool involvement goes back to 1956 when we were the Captain of the University of Chicago Swim Team, and in the 60's when we owned our first swimming pool. Red Cross certified lifeguards, water safety instructors. We have Scuba dove in the South China Sea, Panama Canal's Lake Gatun, Atlantic, and Pacific.
